Once Olivia catches her breath her body becomes cold and angry. “What happened to your condom?”

“I ran out,” I was drifting off to sleep.

“You didn't get more when I asked you to?”

“Did you feel the dick skin condom I was wearing? That should answer your question.”

“This is not a game Ahjani, babies can and will happen.”

“Did you get off the pill?”

“No.”

“Then we have nothing to worry about. This is a dumb argument to have, especially right now.”

“I don’t want to get pregnant right now.”

“And you won’t.”

“If you keep slacking off like this. Anything could happen.”

Ok, she’s working my nerves now, and undoing all the work I just put in for both of our peace of minds on our last night together. “Olivia! Calm down! My name is not Spencer and your name is not Julia. If we did end up pregnant I would take care of you!”

“Really? How? I pay most of the bills around here. I’m the breadwinner, there’s no guarantee you’re going to go pro. You haven’t even acted like you’re considering it, and it’s going to be another three years at least before you’re finished with school and in debt up to the ceiling.”

I got out of the bed, “you’re the one who wanted this fancy townhouse that is beyond my budget. Last year I paid ALL the bills while you tried to figure out what you wanted to do with yourself. Give you a little money and look how you act. The thought of having my baby takes you to the land of all evil, fine. Don’t worry about it, I won’t touch you again without a condom. The dragon lady in you comes out whenever you think about children anyways. Honestly, I don’t think you really want to have any anyways.” I knew my reference to her mother hurt her, but she hurt me too. Right now, I can’t afford all this fancy excessive stuff. Even as the poor man’s dentist I would be able to provide a decent living. Jason has been advising me on financial courses. Stuff he studied while in jail at the urging of his best friend. He said his best friend kept money on his books and when his cousin got locked up they studied together. He said that was all they really had time for in there was studying, planning, and studying some more. I wouldn’t be poor, and my children would be taken care of.

Our argument went on for hours, neither one of us would let anything go. In the end I was moving my flight to a later time, packing my things and putting them in storage. I wasn’t coming back to this townhouse, and now I was single.
